Visiting Fellows

Benefits

Fellows will receive a $15K stipend for each year of the 2-year program
Partnership with Columbia University geoscience researchers
Reciprocal visits with Columbia University geoscience researchers at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory
Logistical support facilitated by the INSPIRE office
Partner/Host to visit MSI at least annually, submit updates to INSPIRE every 6 months

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

US-based (In conformance with National Science Foundation policy, only U.S. citizens and legally admitted permanent resident aliens are eligible for this award)
Early to Mid Career Faculty (Assoc/Asst level)
Academically employed by MSI or HBCU
Working in earth and space sciences or climate related field, does not have to be in earth science department

Applications

INSPIRE Visiting Fellows Program will begin in January 2024.
