Bridge to PhD Program

For post-baccalaureates to gain skills and experiences that can launch their careers in geoscience. This two-year program leverages the  Columbia University Bridge to PhD program, and provides a range of activities and initiatives to help post-baccalaureate scholars thrive while preparing them for a successful transition into graduate school.  INSPIRE Bridge Scholars have the opportunity to work with researcher mentors that span a wide range of geoscience and climate disciplines at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory.

How to find a mentor

Potential mentors are geoscience researchers at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and also includes faculty of both the Department of Earth and Environmental Science and the Columbia Climate School.

The INSPIRE team curates a list of researchers who have expressed interest in hosting a Bridge to PhD Scholar.
