Reconnecting Geoscientists to their Purpose

The Armor Project

Research shows there are key inflection points at which geoscientists leave the field. Despite decades of research on best practice in mentorship and networking support systems, no one has yet modeled and tested how a narrative intervention focused on what initially drew scientists to their field could impact long-term commitment. This is a particularly acute issue amongst underrepresented groups. The Armor Project is building a space to host these inspirational origin stories, with the aim of reconnecting scientists at risk of leaving the field to why they embarked on their journey in the first place.
